All kinds: Multi-week beginner and intermediate classes, single-day and multi-day workshops, children’s classes, and artist demos. We’re excited to share specifics with you when we have more information. Keep an eye out for our newsletter updates and check back on our Classes page.
Classes will be open to the public; you do not need to be a member to sign up for a class.Members will have early access to class signups and 20% off the cost of classes.

We are planning to offer a one-on-one class for complete beginners: one hour of wheel or handbuilding instruction. This is a great option for people who want to know if taking a full class is right for them.

The Bat is a community space. To ensure that everyone works well both in the space and with each other, all potential members must fill out an application and complete an in-person interview with studio management. Please note that, to be a member, you must be able to work independently and have two years of experience or equivalent education. -
Yes. The minimum age for memberships and kiln rentals is 18.

We will have security cameras running 24/7 covering the entirety of the studio and parking lot, to ensure both member & student safety and adherence to our codes of conduct. After class hours, the front door will be locked and building access will be via keycard only.

By definition, the creation of pottery uses energy and creates waste. We strive to minimize our negative impact on the environment through reclaiming clay, minimizing water use, and disposing of waste responsibly.
